#GoHawks M&M Cookies



  • ½ c  butter flavored Crisco
  • ½ c  margarine
  • 1 c  sugar
  • 1 c  brown sugar (packed)
  • 2  eggs
  • 2 tsp  vanilla
  • 1 c  Trader Joes Almond Meal
  • 2-1/4 c  all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt


Pre-heat oven to 375.  Cream the Crisco, margarine, sugar and brown sugar together until well mixed.  Add eggs & vanilla and mix well.  In a separate bowl, mix the Almond Meal, flour, soda and salt together.  Add gradually to the creamed ingredients.  Drop by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet and top with M&Ms.  Bake for 8-10 minutes until they’re just starting to brown. Take them out of the oven and give the pan a good thwap on the counter to ensure they flatten.  Cool for 3-5 minutes on pan, then remove to cooling rack.  Cookies should be crispy on the outside and chewy gooey on the inside.  Makes approx. 4 dz.
